PhD microbiologist who studies how bacteria respond to their environment, and teaches students to see the living systems behind every textbook diagram.
I hold a PhD in Microbiology. My research measured how pesticides shift the diversity and function of rhizosphere bacteria, the communities living around plant roots, using 16S amplicon sequencing.
Before that, my Master's focused on medical and clinical microbiology, and I worked in the bacteriology lab of the National Reference Laboratory for Poultry Diseases, culturing pathogens and running antibiotic susceptibility tests.
That mix of bench work and data analysis means I can explain a concept and show where it appears in a real lab. Students get patient, structured lessons and honest feedback on what to practise next.
